    You do have to take some of the responsibility for this. Online it asks if you are already a customer and to check to see if you are on the best package. I was on broadband option 2 and all calls so called them to get a better deal. I am now paying less for option 3 and all calls plus a new hub and phone. I signed for another 12 months but to be honest in the main I like BT. I am now paying £33 inc VAT for this.

    I also told my Daughter who was adding Broadband to haggle and not pay the going price and she got a deal too.

    You can buy wireless routers on Play.com for £30. Would have been a lot easier just to have bought a new one rather than go through that hassle with BT. But then, if you're now saving money on your connection it was worth the call.
