Yup in March (I think) I said the FTSE would bottom at 3450, wasn't far off - certainly didn't go lower. Does this mean I'm well respected?

Not really. On same thread ( 2 posts earlier) I said 3500 bottom and I'm crap at darts.

[ramp]Yes! Buy that, you'll get an ace yield (8%ish), good potential for capital growth etc etc. [/ramp]

I got them at 493p a while ago after costs, would've bought more last week if I'd had any money. Oh well!

Nouriel Roubini:- Academic, with a track record of talking about the markets.

Anthony Bolton:- Fund Manager, with a track record of making money in the markets.

    Now...............Which one is best ??

There's only one way to find out !!!!
Until a year ago, I think even the Dumbest Fund Manager could have made Money in the Markets ..

Over what period are you pontificating ?.........and what was so special about 'a year ago' ? .... Equity markets have fallen similar amounts to 'a year ago' frequently over the last 30 years !!!

Bolton managed the Fidelity Special Situations Fund for about 28 years, and even the 'Cleverest Fund Manager' would have struggled to make consistent returns over that period.

19.5% annualised growth over 28 years speaks for itself.
