    Oil is a secondary indicator as far as I am concerned.

    The price can go up if they use blackmail tactics & withhold supply but that will have no relevence to the economy status.

    (FWIW Stevie, if you read my posts carefully, you'll observe that I have nothing against decent pay for front line staff - it's only the 'lavish' pensions I have a problem with). :)

    Yup in March (I think) I said the FTSE would bottom at 3450, wasn't far off - certainly didn't go lower. Does this mean I'm well respected?
