Oat bran flakes (which may help reduce cholesterol). The trouble is they taste pretty bland, but mixed with a little Fruit & Fibre, and some extra sultanas they're just fine.Stompa0

Scot's Porage Oats, The Oatmeal of Alford or Jordan's now and again - they've got a new 70% chocolate curls one that looks tempting.

I like any version of Special K especially the one with the chocolate in cos it soesn't make me feel guilty. It's not cheap though.
Also I agree Jordans museli is lovely. I had a free sample and then bought a box. Will be going to poundland to look for this tomorrow. Thanks.Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:

The one with honey is at the moment it's a pound a box at Asda and not bad I had some for breakfast. Same box is £2.88 at Tesco so fill your boots.0 -
I used to go for whatever is cheapest and lasts longest so it was either morrisons/asda rice snaps OR morrisons cornflakes lol. Gets really boring after a while though and my Husband started to ask why I just get those all the time so I said its because they last longest and I didnt want to spend too much on myself (though he gets nice cereals lol). Anyway, he got me to try porridge oats, ive had Ready Brek before and I did try to make myself some porridge before and failed miserably but now Husband has been making me porridge every day. He puts in water to cook, then when its done adds a little margarine and brown sugar then throw on whatever fruit you have laying around! Its really nice and the different fruits every day are a good variety and a little change so its never boring.
And its around 60p a bag at asda too!Weight loss November 09-January 10: [STRIKE]13lbs[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]20lbs[/STRIKE] 27lbs! :j0 -
Lidl's "Choco moons" as opposed to Nesquick.
No point in eating designer breakfast
They taste the same anyway0 -
I saw these and the Lucky Charm breakfast bars in a shop in Covent Garden yesterday - gasped at the price!!
anywhoo... I think you can buy Lucky Charms online from the US. People should buy in bulk. Im sure it'd work out much cheaper than 7 quid!0 -

Never tried the Tesco finest one.
I'm a porridge fan too.
I often buy Scotts too or Quakers, BUT when I'm being virtious I buy the SAINSBURYS one, with ADDED BRAN:D
Its quite nice & even better for you.
I tried adding bran to Quakers, but it wasn't right:eek:0 -
Make my own Granola. A mix of 8 cups oats, 2-4 cups mixed nuts and seeds (whatever you like and how crunchy you like it), 2 teaspoons cinnamon, 2 tablespoons runny honey (or can use maple syrup) and 2 tablespoons oil (sunflower or vegetable) and 2 tablespoons hot water.
Must try this, I usually make my own museli (cheap oats or smartprice museli and add whatever extra i fancy, this time it's chopped pecans, dried jumbo sultanas and dried sour cherries)0
