Special K Sustain :) bland so last week QUOTE]

eeurgh!! I tried this for the first time yesterday and think it's horrid - a bit too sweet for me - would you like my box, blackmidnight? :D I like the yoghourty Special K though :)

Well I have it for lunch/snacks rather than breakfast so I don't mind it being sweet - definitely different to all-bran which is the only cereal i'll have for breakfast!

I can't eat a lot of wheat now, so after 18 years of two (then later three) Weetabix a day I had to go on to porridge. That and I found three Weetabix a day was making me fat, but less and I never made it to lunch time! I was eternally grateful when they bought out Oatibix! I can now save my little bit of wheat for every couple of days, perhaps with pasta or pizza for lunch or similar.

I dont like cereals like museuli or flakes or lots of small bits in a bowl with milk on them because I dont like the sogginess aspect. Somehow with the bizxes, I dont mind soggy (though I know others hate it!). In fact, because I have a cousin who eats bix dry with jam on it - a bit like toast - because he hates soggy bix!
I can't have toast because of the wheat thing but also because it just doesnt fill me up at all.

As a treat I sometimes have things like Apricot Wheats, M&S Choc Cereal, Cinnamon Grahams or Bran Flakes dry but with a big glass of milk afterwards.

In the main I stick with 2 Oatibix and Goats Milk though.
I just wish I knw why it cost so much. I can only really afford to buy it on offer and that's not always often enough. £5 for 1 months supply of breakfast for one person is a bit crap, IMHO.

If anyone ever sees Oatibix on offer, please give me a holler! :) Will travel for bix!

I don't now as I'm low carbing but used to love cinnamon grahams. Full of sugar and no doubt the work of satan but ever so yum! Probably played a part in my weight issues :rotfl:

I eat jumbo oats (has to be jumbo ones) soaked in just enough water to soften them without them going sloppy.... then with honey drizzled over and a sliced banana.

Used to eat porridge but I prefer the oats soaked and not cooked.
