Problem with User/password

Hi
I hope I can explain this clearly! My friends pc has 4 different users set up . one for each member of the family Her hubbie has set himself up as the only Administrator so that whenever she tries to download anything or change anything on her login, it always says she needs his password to give permission for her to continue. He is away right now, serving abroad and the old password of his that she used to know no longer works. His password hints dont help her at all. Is there any way to get round this and remove his Administrator role so that other users can do what they need to do without having to enter his password? Hope that makes sense!

Looks like a pain for Vista though.
If this were mine and he wasn't contactable and I couldn't guess the password I'd extract my data, backup the machine using Acronis TrueImage or similar so if it became desperate his data could be recovered then use the recovery media to set it all back to factory defaults.0 -
In Vista you right click and run as admin. Are you on XP then? There is a software disc I have to remove the PW but I find it a bit techie only used it once but it works0

It is Vista, not sure what you mean by right click? On username?0

that offline password editor (above) seems like the best way to go at the moment0 -
Can't she just text him and ask for the admin password? No free lunch, and no free laptop

Do you honestly think that if he were contactable this question would have been posted here. I suspect "serving abroad" probably doesn't mean he's a got a bar job in Malaga.0 -
