Bookie, if you aren't keen on a diary (I'm not tbh - I can't keep it up) how about just posting a new thread with your SOA on it for people to throw things at.

things change every day and sometimes I feel why do I bother planning and budgeting etc etc when all that happens is that something comes along to put a spanner in the works.

However, what does happen is that when something unexpected comes up I do know now whether I can budget or alter my budget accordingly instead of being in a blind panic about it most of the time...it does help me sleep better.

Once you have posted an SOA the idea is to improve on it and try to keep improving...you know you have already made savings.

I would also try to keep a spending diary. It really does help focus the mind on where the money goes. I did it on holiday and I had to change my knickers twice a day.....but I have come back knowing how much money I have to last me....minus what OH managed to 'lose'.

  • I agree 100% Jinky-try not to give formula-it's so ifficult because you feel like a bad Mom and that you arent doing something right (or was that just me?)

My Midwife said she wished there was 2 growth charts, one for BF and one for formula becasue the weight gains are so different.

I really dont know hun at all....doesnt make sense to me.

But mummies almost always produce enough milk for their particular babies needs, which is why feeding needs to be well established before introducing the bottle.

And if it takes longer than an hour to feed, on both sides, then baby isn't latching on properly:cool:

Yeah and there's the dad's sleep pattern to think about too :D
