    Cat - I was advised not to mix formula and BF although they were happy for me to express occasionally to give a bottle feed. Nathan didn't eat for the first 2 days after he was born and I expressed colostrum for the nurse to give him using a feeding syringe then suddenly he started doing more than just latch on and has averaged about a lb a week weight gain.     noted but the Americans seem to do these things on a larger scale...

    I have to say, when I was working out on Sunday I kep remembering these hugely obese people doing exercises I would struggle with at the moment and felt hugely motivated:rolleyes:

    i know what you mean! in the current series, they do a half marathon after about 10 weeks, it's mental....!!!
    I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....

    Evie's had her first formula top-up: 40mls AFTER a long breastfeed. It's really confusing how much conflicting advice is out there but this is now a paediatric led decision and we're going to top up after daytime feeds only whilst i try to express breast milk to increase flow. The ammunity midwife is coming tomorrow and health visitor is coming on thursday so i can go home tonight!
