Best network / tariff for web access on contract

Interested in views on the best network / tariff in terms of speed and value for accessing the internet and using gps. Currently on Vodafone but not entirely convinced about signal quality where I live. Checked the Ofcom sitefinder website and it looks like O2 or Orange could be good in terms of local masts.

Advice please!

    How many Gb a month?
Is your usage from many locations or mostly from home?

Not sure on how much per month - not intensive use, as I am usually near a computer, and usually in my local area (pub, town, etc). SatNav feature would be used sometimes if that adds to the data use mix.

I've just moved onto Vodafone because they've overall got the best coverage - Orange is ok if you're near a mast but rubbish generally, O2 is a near second to Vodafone. I've gone onto their SIM only package - £15/month with unlimited internet & 30 day contract. It's only about 100 phone minutes & a few hundred texts but the internet's the main thing as I have people phoning me rather than me phoning them. I have a Touch HD which has GPS built in & the supplied Google Maps works surprisingly well - you can get TomTom for it if you want as it runs Windows 6.1. Also has built in WiFi if you're in a hotspot.

Thanks for that. The Vodafone deal seems good - might have to look into that. Orange and O2 have masts extremely close to where I live and closer than the Vodafone masts. Overall coverage is of course important as well and I would be interested in anyone else's opinions about O2 and Orange.
