I find that pre-payment works out cheaper as it concentrates the mind on the bill and hence you become more careful about wasting gas.I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0

Joanne Im in the same situation as you and put in £20 a week in a token meter. House is still cold even with rads on but darnt put gas fires on as they seem to eat up the gas!!
However when it gets warm only need £5 a week!!
Damn this cold weather !:(Moneysaving? - I cant stop spending because of this site!0 -
ours must be broken were with Npower on prepayment meter and put on £20 a month with around £3 left at the end of the month (this is winter) in summer can get away with £10 a month, use gas for heating / cooking 1 bed flat, one of our neighbours with scottish power puts on £20 a week.If it doesnt pay rent sell it.
