Hypno - when you pay to your Egg loan, is that coming off the loan itself or going to your other account to then clear in one go? I can remember you had a nice sum in there to pay something off in one go but can't remember what! You are doing so well :T

This has gone directly to the Egg loan itself - it is possible to overpay without any problem for the first two weeks of the month, so that is what I do - then the last two weeks of the month, Egg get confused if you send them any money, and end up losing your normal direct debit payment, so anything extra I get in the second half of the month goes into the "pay it off the debt" account.......

I'm with you right there on the windowless room - I call my office a cupboard, my student calls it "cute"

In the absence of any matched betting going on, I have transferred some of my M/B "pot" to the egg loan - another £100 paid......and two squares duly coloured in.

Balance now £4092.20........another step closer to being rid of it for ever.
