Boo!! I sometimes miss the last minute cancellation ones because my phone is on silent at work, so it is only if I happen to see it light up that I catch it.

I don't think my phone lights up it just croaks, i am too tight to pay for a new one and am awaiting my eldest daughter's cast off phone.

Gosh Ireland does sound really expensive to live in now- I thought it was only us Brits who were ripped off! I was a student at Trinity College Dublin in the mid - nineties doing a Phd and Mphil and literally lived on a tin of tuna fish a day. My mum is from Blackrock so had to go to relative's houses for some proper food I just couldn't afford anything! Still I have recently gone back to those penny-pinching days - I just now call it MSE instead of tight!
Have had a NSD today so pleased (won't count the Joules sale online (£64)) and going round to my mum and dad's for tea this evening so an easy nutritious meal will be cooked for the children and me and DH will have the chicken soup I cooked earlier on this week (thanks for the lentils Hypno;)).
Applied for an Alliance and Leicester account this morning and got one with the free £100 for switching - money for nothing so going to the ING savings 'free money' acccount which I will eventually use to pay off the dreaded 1st plus loan.
Scratchcards are quite an addictive pleasure aren't they? Just not sure that the Takeabreak one always credits. Do you have to click bank or something to make sure the 10p goes into the account. I should have my deposit (£10) + 1x25p and 2x10ps but it is only showing as £10.35. It has come to something when I am fussing over 10p so apologies:o

It seems from the £10 a day thread, that Take a break are no longer paying out cash for their free scratchcards, but issuing it as a bonus instead........bah.

Ah well, it was good while it lasted - honory, I would withdraw your full balance now I think.....

My student has just brought me a cappucino and a muffin into the office - bless!!!

Guess we'll have to deposit some then to retrieve what we've earned..? I've got £5.40 in there, so am I gonna have to deposit again to get that back?
