I think the thing that strikes me most about your hard work, hypno, is that you carry on even when you're ill. I've got a lurgy at the mo thats slowly growing in intensity - had it since Thursday, and I've carried on so far, but today I'm going to have to duck out of at least one of the mystery shops I've got booked - I have my own work in the evening, which pays much more, and I *have* to be okay for that. :( or at least passable.

I do carry on, yes, but I also do drop certain things as energy levels allow - for example, I am not running at the moment.....there is only so much time and energy I can expend, and at this point in time, work, family, students etc all need that time and energy more than the running does...

I am still desperately trying to get that "balance" hahaha, but I think as time goes by I am slowly working towards achieving it - part of that is because as the debt reduces, the shift changes a little - It is now my choice to work extra to pay the debt down quicker, whereas 2 years ago, there was no choice, as the minimums were so high, I HAD to work extra, just to keep the bailiffs from the door....

So, each time that balance shifts a little in my favour, it is a little easier to keep going.

Of course, I could just say that we have three loans with a finite lifetime and a 0% balance transfer, so I could sit back and let them do their own thing.....thereby letting myself have "proper" days off......but that doesn't really achieve what I want it to achieve, which is to be debt free and able to consider moving house in due course.

    Life......:rotfl:

Morning all, well, why is whenever OH goes away, disasters occur? Had to buy a new washing machine as last one dies, to be fair, it was 10 years old and got stuck on number 5 until someone remembered to click it on, so it had had a good innings! Then the dishwasher broke, but, most impressively, I went and got the part and repaired it myself, well I wasn't doing without a dishwasher for another month!

new washing machine is lovely, very big, 9.5kg load, so can cram in loads, and yummy bloke plumbed it in for me, (I pretended to be all girly and useless!)

Have a lovely day off Hypno, good luck with the socks!

    Good morning everyone.

Hypno - get yourself 3 in trays and label them "IN" "OUT" and "ILWSIO"

(the last one stands for If left will sort itself out! You will be surprised how much stuff ends up in that one. Alternatively get a little round one that sits on the floor)

Have people been taking socks from the pile as they run out - or do you all have so many socks you haven't missed them?! ;)
