The storm made no difference walshy - it was even hotter and more humid here yesterday than it was prior to the storm

Ah, the joys of the British weather

Ok, so scratchcards done - 10p again :p

Banking done - I'm skint :rotfl:

Actually I am a bit more skint than I thought - this month is very tight as OH didn't earn as much in his second job as usual in June, and what he DID earn paid for his bike insurance and repairs etc, so nothing to carry forward into July.....

So, we are going to have to be really really careful - it is possible, but it will be hard......we don't get paid for the students until the end of their time here, so that is not for another couple of weeks, and by the time that clears, it will be after all the bills have been (hopefully) paid!

I am still expecting in a dooyoo cheque, for £50, which I requested a couple of weeks ago so hopefully won't take too much longer.....that will certainly help...

And if the worst comes to the worst I will "borrow" from the china fund and work harder over the summer to replace it.

I am off to see Take That today, so will try really hard to spend as little as possible - the travel inn room and parking are already paid for, so it is just food and drink that we need.....I have received the money for my spare ticket from paypal so have withdrawn that as cash and the aim is that that is all I have for the day so we will have to make do......focus, focus, focus!!!

Then ski race tomorrow - I am being an official so I can get free lunch, and DD is being a forerunner (like a pace-setter), rather than a racer, so again she gets free lunch, and it saves me her race fee.....we really are trying here :rotfl:

Oh, and my £20 is on day 9......:T

Hope you all have a good day!!

    Mornin
Have a FAB time at Take That . There's a MacDonalds right opposite the Travel Inn if I remember correctly for cheap brekkie as well as a couple of greasy spoons and a big ASDA just up the road. Don't forget to pack a jar a coffee :)

We are staying in the travel inn in Braintree - half way between today's concert and tomorrow's ski race, but I will certainly be looking for the "cheaper" food options! I have packed some stuff up, but with the heat etc, I can quite anticipate things being either inedible or unappetising by the time we need them......so spending on some food will be a necessity. Macdonalds will do nicely......

I have a flask ready to make coffee before we set off....and will take my jar of coffee with me ready to refill the flask tomorrow from the travel inn.
