not a lost art at all.......all the villages round here still do it in their summer fetes......I'd watch out for low flying wellies if I were you over the coming weeks, especially if your genes attract stray ones :rotfl:

Back on a MSE note......OH has discovered that neighbours in the same design of house, built at the same time, on the same estate.......are a council tax band lower than we are - there are 4 houses band E, of which ours is one, and a dozen or more that are the same house, on the same development, which are band D - £320 a year cheaper!

Guess what my next mission is to be :money:

Well, it is worth a try, anyway.

Plus, it will occupy me and stop me from getting bored in my ample spare time

It is my wedding anniversary today - 19 years.....and whilst it would be nice to have a takeaway or meal out as a treat.......the freezer and storecupboard beckon in order to keep my spending on track. Next year, for 20 years, though, we should be debt free, so we can push the boat out and go to Pizza Hut :rotfl:

Happy Anniversary hope you both have a lovely evening

Didn't know PGL hols still existed - I will never forget my sister having to be brought home early from one after being hit in the head by a welly. There was a competition not just people lobbing things at her :rotfl:
