Morning
Lawnmower has finally given up - well it is over 30 years old - unfortunatley it is going to cost over £500 to replace and thats through Quidco!!!
Think I might just set fire to a pile of money the rate its going at the moment!
Anyway - am working all day each day for rest of week as colleague has time off for her DD wedding. Should have gone swimming this morning but realised that as I was in shower :rotfl::rotfl: Might go before I terach tonight.
Am still waiting for dooyoo to approve two suggestions and must get back on there and do some reviewing and write some reviews.
Have a good day everyone0 -

Ah, surfbabe, another contributer to the money-bonfire I see!! We had to get a new lawnmower this year, after years of having FiLs cast offs (which were always on their last legs when we got them!) we finally had to buy one, but our garden is small, so we only had to spend £70 or so.....
shaun - it is sunny here!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Feeling a bit "stuck" with payments at the moment......not much more than minimums being paid while I save for China etc.
So I thought I would just see how much I have paid off since 1st December 2007, and I was very pleased to see that I have cleared £37151.65 of capital.......:T
I would hate to think what that figure is if I include interest payments made too!

Wow .... thats a huge figure, Hypno - I can understand the stuck feeling at the mo for you. Remember tho, that one of the big things that people admire about you is your mix of overpaying debt and having a life. And sending DD on a trip to China that she's dying to go on *definitely* counts as having a life.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Well done Hypno - to get your total debt figure down from the sixties to the twenties in about 18 months is pretty good going so don't beat yourself up about having to get Tesco deliver - after all, you must surely have groceries built into your budget, so you can't really count that as a black mark in your spending diary! Surely the whole point of no-spend days means not spending on anything apart from what is built into your budget? And the fact that you have done an online shop means you were not polluting the atmosphere with your car, trawling round the store with the world and his mate picking up loads of impulse buys, and altogether wasting good time that could be spent on attacking the debt situation and the ironing mountain etc. So, lots of brownie points there methinks. Onwards and upwards!!One life - your life - live it!0

That's amazing Hypno...there's not many people who could clear that amount of money in such a short time. Also, think of all the people you've inspired by keeping your diary. I know you were one of the first people I 'met' when I joined and you've definitely contributed to me being so much more switched on when it comes to money! Here's to the last 20 thousand! xx0

But this time - no credit cards, no stupid spending, more of my salary to pay for what I want rather than what I have to pay.....dream on.....One life - your life - live it!0

Totally agree with this, and I think the best thing about it for those starting at the beginning of the journey is that your FAMILY is on board to get these debts cleared. To be singing from the same hymn book, must make life generally a lot easier.
