Hi all
First time poster so welcome I hope you can help.
I recently purchased a set of beard clippers/razor directly from amazon (not amazon market place).
After receiving the item, upon closer inspection I could see tiny hairs left inbetween the blades of the clipper. They are barely visible to the naked eye but are definately there. Which suggests to me the item has been cleaned (all be it not very well).
I phoned amazon customer support who to be fair were very polite, and told me to send the item back for a refund then send a complaint to the complaints department.
Now my problem is that the hairs left on the clipper are very small and wont come out in a photograph. This leaves me with a problem as I want to send the item back but want the proof the item had been used, as by a quick glance the item looks brand new.
Now normally I wouldnt make a fuss but I think getting second hand razor is DISGUSTING and while only a small chance can pass hepatitus etc etc.
So should I trust amazon to find the fault, or should I hold back on sending the item, and wait for a response. Not being very good at writing letters any tips or comments I should make would also be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

I'd send the razor back and get a refund from them, Will only make things difficult if you hold onto it.0

I would take a digital photo at the highest resolution possible. If you took it fairly close it should magnify enough to show the hairs.0

thanks for help. Have taken a few picks as best I can and am currently sending the item back. Will post back with a reply0

Just send it back, Amazon are very fair and I am sure you will get a replacement new one.You live..You learn.:)0

If your digital camera has a macro function you should be able to get a clear enough picture. Make sure to take a picture of the whole shaver as well to show the same area then no question of same shaver0

But what is to say that they are not the OP's hairs? A picture does not really prove anything.Gone ... or have I?0 -
amazon have a "buy it new for £x or buy it used for £y". Are you sure you clicked on the buy it new link and not the used link?0

You've got a response from Amazon to send the product back. If there are problems when you return the product then deal with it then rather than wasting your time now. A photo proves nothing.
Why aren't they sending a replacement? Do you not want the shaver now or do you just not want one from Amazon because of what has happened?0 -
Amazon's after sales service is brilliant. Just send it back and let them refund you."One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0
