Maybe if you straddled the dates over half term-part in school holidays and part not-or found a week with a couple of training days in it that'd help find a compromise ?
I'm sure you can find a way with a bit of negociation
My kids do not go back to school in September until Monday 7th (the traing days are the Wed, Thurs and Fri of the week before), so that would be an ideal time.
Also, I wonder if we would be able to extend the holiday by booking into our own hotel for the remainder of the holiday as there is so much to see and do in Orlando. The flights and hotel for 7 days are part of the proze, so it would be not extra to the company paying for it.

Well I had the initial call from ITV on Monday and the said someone would contact me in the next couple of days.
What would you all do? I have th enumber of the person who contacted me the other day - would you call her to chase them up or leave it a bit longer?
