that is a bit sill offering a family holiday then saying you can't take it during the school holidays!
surely the people running the comp would know that your not encouraged to take kids out of school during term time ??

It is a bit, but you know what Terms and Conditions are like when you read them - they sound so complicated, so I may have read it wrong.

The woman from ITV said the organiser would call me in the next couple of days. It has not even been 24 hours since the call, but I am desperate to speak to them to find out all the details and whether we can go in school holidays.

I am reluctant to tell anyone incase it all goes pear shaped.

My daughters friend has just come back from Florida and my daughter has been saying how much she wants to go and I just want to say "we are going!"

Maybe if you straddled the dates over half term-part in school holidays and part not-or found a week with a couple of training days in it that'd help find a compromise ?
I'm sure you can find a way with a bit of negociation
