Some years ago I worked in a small care home which had been adapted for the clients living there. Usually the electrics worked fine but sometimes the power would trip out. After a bit of research around the whys and the whens, I worked out that it was the dishwasher. It would be fine during the day - when not much else was in use in the kitchen other than the kettle or toaster - but it tripped out particularly when I was cooking a full meal and had the oven and a few hotplates on as well. Even then, the dishwasher would work for a while before the pwer tripped - it only tripped the power when the heating element in the dishwasher came on during the cycle, the wash part of the cycle was OK.
I soon learned to keep the radio on when I was cooking as I would know if the trip switch had gone if the music went off ! That saved me discovering far too late that my oven had gone cold and dinner was Off!
I suppose it was just simple overload on the system - might be worth checking if you are using too much electrical stuff at the same time and if the trip only goes off part way through the dishwasher cycle when the heater kicks in.ELITE 5:2
