I really hope that someone understands this better than I as I am sat here weeping and stressing.
The OR offered us the chance to purchase the BI in our home. The home is in negative equity of approx £20k, but its our home and we love it and want to stay.
So we obtained a mortgage balance and a valuation, signed the forms and sent it all off. Today we have recieved some worrying letters. The OR has signed form 6.83 (sending us a copy) to state that he is now trustee of our property and has until such and such date to decide whether he will place a charging order or force of sale. No mention of us buying the BI at all. I have read it again and again and it is worded as if they have denied us this opportunity.
Has anyone else come across this before?????
I'm so sad right now, I can barely breath.
I have emailed the OR office and am awaiting a reply.
If you can help, thank you.

Hi Dolly,
Those letters are churned out as a matter of course. Apparently there is quite a back log of work relating to purchasing B.I so its not surprising you haven't heard anything.
For your own peace of mind phone your O.R and voice your concerns; I'm sure they'll be able to reassure you that everything is ok.
We were well past our discharge date by the time we got confirmation that the transaction had gone through.
Best regards

Thanks Richard,
So you don't think that they are denying us?
I have emailed as whenever I phone there is never anyone available. I have asked rather bluntly too.
I was meant to be on a fitness kick, but now I'm reaching for the wine! Gulp.
P.S. Went BR last August. Offered ED last Dec but did not get it.0 -

Hi Dolly,
I'm sure they're not denying you the chance to purchase the B.I. We got exactly the same letters as you've had.

Dolly ED can take a few months to come through,so keep checking the IS register, you have to go right into your personal details, not just the first page to see if there are any changes. No, I sent it registered (the cheaper one!). Checked to see if it had been signed for and it had on Dec 22nd. Only got 4 months to go now anyway, but the stress of BR has really taken its toll on my health. People think I have had it easy, but they don't see what goes on behind closed doors!
Anyway, no reply from ORs office, so maybe tomorrow and I will ask about my ED if they reply, just as an enqiry if they recieved my paperwork.
Just starting on first glass of wine!0 -
Yes I would say that that letter is just a standard letter but sent perhaps a bit later than it should have been - dont worry.:j Goodbye debt - Hello sanity! :j0
