No signal with recent phone upgrade
Options
About 2 months ago I was coming to the end of my contract. Despite considering switching back to O2 I decided to remain with 3 as I got a deal which suits me. They sent me a very nice Sony Ericsson 890i. However I have no signal just keep getting 'emergency calls only'. Its pointless having a mobile if you cant use it.
Ive been told in shop its to do with the phone but I have no insurance and after 2 months dont know how if they will give me a different phone?
Any advise??

should be under warranty and they will offer you repair as long as its not been damaged by you in any way.0

Treat it as a fault. No two phones have the same sensitivity, and you may have one that is within spec, but 'deaf' when in comparison to your previous one. Ask for the sensitivity to be checked, as currently the phone is far below par....0

Why did you wait 2 months? Are you saying it was OK and then suddenly no signal, or no signal since you had it?
Can you test the SIM in another phone to establish if the SIM is at fault, or the phone? No free lunch, and no free laptop0
