*Experian report, something strange..*

I ordered my free report and see that I have TWO barclaycards showing.

I only know about one. I settled it yesterday, although they said it had been closed for two years (a lie as it was still showing as open on the report)

Anyway, back to the other card, it has a £2,150 limit and was opened on March 2005, when I click on 'query' it just give me a bunch of FAQ's.

Is it possible to call barclays and just give them my name and address ( I obviously don't have any card number etc).

One last thing... It shows lots of credit card accounts I've closed, do you think this will have an effect on my applications in the future? I've been declined for a Tesco credit card two years in a row.

I would ring Barclays and explain that you have received a credit report from Experian and it is showing an account that you know nothing about. They should be able to find the account with some combination of Name, Date of Birth, Post Code, Address etc. Then find out what's going on :)

Are the accounts showing as closed or still open?

Thanks! Will give them a call first thing.

Both accounts are showing as open (I only closed the other one yesterday)

Called them a while ago and it's just that my student card was upgraded to gold card, that's why it seemed as though there were two accounts.

    Both are cancelled anyway.

    Thanks.
