Item I sent lost in post, can I get my fees back?

I refunded then asked the buyer if they would mind doing a transaction cancellation so I could get my fees back, set up the cancellation and the buyer agreed straightaway. I think it helped that we have communicated quite a bit over it so she knew I was genuine.
