Morning all! In a much better mood than yesterday- read the rest of the weekend's thread so thanks for all your morale support girls! But OH did slightly redeem himself by booking us a weekend away over the bank holiday although it was quite MSE as we are going to visit his sister so free accommodation and took the boat instead of flying! Also was up at 8 this morning with men who are putting new fascia on house as mum and dad were at work. Had to tie dog up as she is a bit of a kleptomaniac and when I went to feed her I found some tools in her kennel so will take her for a nice long walk while they are here!

So today I have a busy day planned MS wise after the weekend
    • open an ISA for OH
    • send email to vodafone cancelling his contract which is up thank the Lord- I only found out yesterday he was paying £60 per month!! Went looking for a new contract and found one that will suit him for £35 and he gets a free PS3 which I shall be flogging on ebay and putting money in above ISA :rotfl:
    • Ring studio and arrange collection for my nephews electric car that doesn't work- 3rd time it has broke down so they are giving me a full refund and a replacement- £79.99 back!
    • Walk my kleptomaniac for free exercise
    • Go to weight watchers- not going to be pretty, think my leader may actually slap me!
    • Daily scratch- 10p + 10p
    • Check online banking- thought student loan went in today but so far not there
    • Try and list some ebay items- PipsMum do you fancy doing 40 items for me?
That's it for today- hope this week is better than the last!

    Morning all!
Nice and sunny here in the North West.

Had a fairly good weekend a lot of it spent revising for the teaching interview:eek::eek::eek:

    • brought lunch to work
    • storecupboard tea
    • checked banks and moved some money around
    • paid credit card bill with double the minimum payment:T
    • cancelled love film subscription - only used it every now and again but spend £8 a month on it:T
    • closed next account completely after paying off sneaky £3.50 they charged me for a new catologue that I didn't want!
    • walk dog for free exercise
    • do some more revision reading tonight
    • stay in and watch soaps and 24
    • try to sort out budget again now I've made some spends this month
    • stick to mealplan
    • stick to diet!
    • do some work before I get sacked - want the satisfaction of resigning!
    • put the dry washing away and do another load
    That's it for today....

  • Hello all
Bank review went Ok they reckon I 'can' be a student again (bank wise) so I am away to get my letter of award etc to make sure it all goes through then I will ditch the ohter nasty 'no you can't have a student account bank'

CAME home and had an early lunch - also pottered about in the greenhouse and sowed some more squash seeds and some beetroot, lettuce and coriander

I washed my down jacket in the machin (GULP) but had to take the coriander seeds out the pocket so they finally got planted.

Poor jacket now looks terrible - hadn't noticed it says tumble dry on very low until dry - whoops I don't have a tumble drier......if it all goes horribly wrong I mgiht ask my DD pal's mum if she can do it for me - whoops - it looks very pathetic at the moment.

home made carrot soup for lunch with bread and cheese yummy yummy yummy

Hoping i can entice a pal on here today - so fingers crossed - x
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
    minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:
    :money:Sleeves up folks.:money:
  • GRRRRR. Found out today my card has been cloned. I am now around £100 down! Could have been more if the £1200 odd pound for some South African holiday had gone through. So now I have to wait for my statement to show up on the net so I can claim it back!:mad::mad:

Need to update my sig and write my list but so angry!

Hi everyone, back from my hols and need to get motivated again - so back to my favourite thread!

debtfreeme - so sorry to hear about your card - gits  Hope you get it sorted quickly.

    Yesterday I
    1) Went to a free screening of State of Play
    2) Bought some books and DVDs v cheaply at car boot
    3) Did weekly shop at Lidl instead of Mr Ts.
    4) Scratched 2 x 10p

    So far today I
    1) Stocked up on cheap shampoo and veg at Asda
    2) Got a free Liz Earle cleanser in post
    3) Scratched x 10p
    4) V V dull online survey. Can't think of much to say about my choice of envelope:rolleyes:
    5)Washing out on the line
6)Looked at books in Waterstones with T,then requested them online from the library for free.
    7) Bit the bullet and checked my online banking. The holiday didn't do too much damage, thankfully!
    8) Bought a card for my sister as she has finally given birth two weeks late. A healthy baby boy called Adrian :j who rather beautifully arrived on the 10th Anniversary of my Dad's death, which was a lovely way to mark the day.

    Back to work tomorrow -boooo!

    hello all

    to report from yesterday

    - cut up CC!!
    - picked some rhubarb from garden and stewed it. Not much but yummy yummy.
    - checked all other seeds/plants. Everything dead. Cant water them enough. Wondering now how much it would cost to get a tap installed in the garden as the hose doesnt reach that far and I cant seem to get enough water into the ground.
    - went to free screening of State of Play - not all that great but I did enjoy Russell Crow which was a surprise
    - used boots points to get a meal deal so it remained a NSD
    - batch cooked some fabby chilli and froze 3 meals worth

    Today
    - scratch and click
    - phoned bank re machine stealing my card. New one on its way and money will be back in account on Wed
    - cancelled SO to go to that account until new card arrives
    - pay back DD
    - filled car with petrol
    - small amount of grocery shopping (milk & bread)
    - left dd doing some baking at lunch time
    - throw/cook all old fruit currently browning in the bowl
    - meal plan for rest of week given will only be in for 2 nights this week
    - tidy up the messy paper pile on my bedroom floor
    - enjoy the nice jelly beans I got free in the post
    - watch a couple of episodes of Criminal Minds - season 3 I got in post today
    - research to find any potential dog shows to take puppy to (training going well and we now have sit/stay!!) Hopefully she is worthy of some prize money
    - research cheapest way to take a break in Ireland at holiday time. I need a few days break this year and DD desperately wants to go.
    - try and just have a nice relaxing day - enjoy the sunshine and the fact I am alive :)

    - also, made payment of £10.54 to CC as my PAD
    - smiled lots as my tickets for Steve Leonard talk turned up today:) :):)

Hi All - I have been bad and haven't written on the "what small DFW things" this weekend!

So, today I have done the following:

    * Went to a local farm this morning with my OH and our daughter, only cost £4 entry for all of us
    * Hung washing out on the line to dry (although I don't have a tumble dryer so no choice really!)
    * Got the number for my OH to call our mortgage provider to try and get a better rate.... he's still trying to get through!!
    * Gone through boxes which are for car boot sale and taken out things I might be able to get more for on ebay and on the for sale board at work

I still plan to do the following:

    * Take pictures of above mentioned items to put on ebay and selling board
    * Update my financial spreadsheets on my spending, find this helps me feel in control
    * Go on to Mazuma Mobile and sell the 2 phones I meant to do on Wednesday!! Will do this via QuidCo

THink thats all for now, will check back later and update - and to make sure I actually follow through with what I had planned to do!
