Advice please- upgrade time!!!!!!

I wonder if anyone could advise me about what to do. I am on 02 through the Carphone Warehouse. I pay almost £30 for 100 texts and 600 minutes and £4.25 for a 4MB i mode download bundle, but I use the internet a lot, even though it is slow, as I always seem to be at work or on the train, so my bill is always in the £50- £60s. I never use all my minutes, maybe about 400. My phone is knackered and I would like to upgrade and get a Nokia 5800 but lower my bill and get a contract which would give me unlimited internet. The other catch is that only 02 or Orange seems to work well in the area, the others don't seem to have great coverage.

I know people who used the vodafone deal here to get a price match, its 600 mins and it includes the mobile internet of £5 (and unlimited text)

Some people have managed to get £20 - £25 x 18 months for the same thing on o2, however that was with o2 direct.

While your with cpw, might be useful to check this thread out here and see what other people have been getting from the retentions department.

Thought about the iPhone for £35 a month? Lots of minutes and text, and unlimited wifi and web.

Industry figures state that 80% of people lose out by not using up their inclusive 'free' minutes. This does;t happen on PAYG. Therefore, bite the bullet - keep your old phone and don't upgrade. The fact you have no knowledge. What is going to be your financial burden 2 years hence, consider it better NOT to upgrade, as you'll be able to terminate with just 30 days notice.
