Buy out of contract?

Options
Hi. I've got a contract on 3. Basically, I'm totally unhappy with the service I get. The signal I get (not only on my phone, I've tried it on others) is totally unnacceptable. Sometime people will text me and I don't get them til the next day. Even sometimes I send a text and the recipient don't get it til the next day. Also, the reception when calling people or recieving calls is totally ridicululous and my calls cut out after 10 minutes.

So, what I need to know is, does anyone know any companies that will by me out of my contract and sign me up with a new one?

Thanks

Phones 4 u and CPW might, But you might have to contribute to it, And it has to be at a certain point in the contract.
  • If the reception is totally unacceptable, you might be able to get out of it without paying anything. There was a program about this on BBC Watchdog a few weeks ago.

I'm afraid the above comment gives false hope where there is none. YOU CANNOT GET OUT OF A CONTRACT BECAUSE OF COVERAGE ISSUES.

You have 14 days of a new contract to ensure it meets your requirement. After this, you're stuck with it until the end of you minimum term. As for 'Watchdog' this is an entertainment show - treat it that way and you won't go far wrong.

I have tried to get out my 3 contract for the very same reasons bad reception and couldnt get a signal in the house but this started 2 months into my contract and i called and got no where they even admitted there were mast faults but that didnt make a differance to them even speaking to ofcom who they said i should be able to cancel but that didnt get me anywhere, the only way i got out was to pay a cancellation fee which thankfully they halfed to £65 and i paid and got free as i had to buy a replacemnt 3 phone for my other contract (daughters and got stolen)costing £70. But i had no choice but to do that as ive got kids at school and I was missing calls all the time as they were going straight to voicemail.
The more i save the more i can spend:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Buzby, technically the person who was on Watchdog did get out of their contract but only because Orange didn't turn up in Court. They received £500 if I remember right.

I would suggest that you find out what Mobile Access Point your phone is receiving its signal from, I found some codes for my old phone to do this as i was receiving no signal even thought i lived about half a mile from the nearest access point. I managed to get out of my contract because my phone was connecting to an access point 40 miles away and if you call your network they can confirm this and they cant lie to you.

so its worth a shot as that maybe your problem also.
