Way to go Gingernut :T :T you've done brilliantly on your first week

Operation ORF was hilarious, it brings a smile to my face just thinking about it :D

Tried my new Scholls on last night and they hurt my feet ( too painful to persevere) so will give them to DIL who wanted some....decluttering.

Think I've done all I'm gonna do before work, DW will be left for teenie to do and the hoovering will be done after work cause I have to take it with me to use today (that's another thing, her Dyson doesn't work on the hard floors so have to use my Henry :D *tuts* )

ETA: Valli Good point....If there isn't one there today I'll leave the suggestion on a note (she's not in, so difficult to converse properly) I'll have to ask her which one she wants too, for me I'd buy a stringy mop & bucket but she may want another flash mop pad things.

ETA: I'm off now guys n gals, laters x

Hope you are all well and happy this morning.

Had a rotten night last night. :mad:OH is a moody *bleep* and is taking it out on me and DS1(again). I know he is stressed about SS flying out to Afghanastan today but it's no excuse really for his behaviour. May have to think about looking for somewhere else to live as it's become way too stressful for me and the kids here.

rose - sorry you are having a bad day today. Maybe you are tired having done such a lot this week, and poss still a bit emotional over the whole money relief thing ?
If you are seeing your friend on Sat anyway why dont you cancel tomorrow and have a relaxing day to yourself - bath, coffee, telly, walk, nothing taxing.
Or, could you say "the place is a mess, I need to get out", and meet her somewhere for a coffee instead ? That way you can stay for as long as you want and leave when you are wanting to rather than waiting for a guest to go. Does that make sense ? I am not very good at having people over and its cos I cant control when the socialising ends. I hate thinking "ok you can go now, I am ready to stop talking" and just wishing they would go. Does that sound terrible ? I dont think I ever reaslied before that thats why I dont especially like being the host.
Also, whts the recipe for your lemon chicken ? Id be interested to try it with quorn :)

I have cancelled, I woke up feeling so tired today. My plans for the day are to finish off kitchen list, go for an amble down the road because the sun is shining, and have a big nap this afternoon! I've got to prepare the picnic for tomorrow, but at least I don't have to get everything done by 12! Got all day to do it now.
I know exactly what you mean about wishing people would leave! It's nice to be able to go when you've had enough socialising!
I will post the recipe for the chicken later when I've found it. I had it yesterday but it's disappeared!

Hi all apologies for being MIA this week, been a bit of a !!!!py one so will be glad to be shot of it.:o

    Synopsis of my week.....

Service restructure planned, my team not included....not sure if my job has a future.

Eldest DD having major meltdowns re upcoming exams and other stuff.

Tax office demanding £3,500 from an old disputed issue. Looks like court!

General malaise and miserableness in Triker household.

My flying has been minimal to say the least. But tonight the Triker family are going to switch off the TV and get out of the house and go for a lovely walk.

Then when we return, we're gong to look at getting some cleaning and clearing up down.

I have a mountain of urgent, outstanding stuff which I have to get sorted asap.

Oh and the house computer, the big one, with everything on it, has died.

So you can see it's not been a barrelful of laughs here but we're marching on.
