    phewww i am knackered!
    i hate gardening!!!!!

i've just done an hour in the garden. mowing the grass, cutting the edges, cut back one bush, and cut all the weed back along the footpath (a loooooong one, we are endterrace) + swept it all in piles ready to go in neighbours bin later ;)
dh did help actually once he realised what i was up to :T
and kids spent all that time outside with us too - that was nice to see them run around!

    Evening folks

    Hope you are all well.

Driving on outskirts of Derby at 7.30am this morning, went round a roundabout, there was a 'conicking' noise from rear of car, car behind is flashing its lights and its passenger is waving her arms about.

I pull over, they tell me one of my back wheels is major wobbling, so on go hazard lights.

Traffic building up for rush hour, driving round me, me too scared owing to volume of traffic to get out of car, so I ring the nice man at the AA.

Don't worry Mrsxxx, we will have some one with you, within the hour.

40mins later Paul pulls up in his AA van, he then has to wait 5 odd mins or so, before he can get out of his van, I finally get out of car and walk to rear of car, where he is looking at my tyres, to tell me, the offside one only has 2 wheel nuts holding it on, 2 are missing and the locking nut is about to fall off:eek::eek: he then told me had I been on the motorway or driving at speed, the wheel would have come off.:eek:

He then says he will find me some more wheel nuts from somewhere, I by now am just recovering from the fact a wheel could have come off, say well the locking main nut and others are in the boot, so we get out the 'stuff' :o from the boots, on to the verge in a heap:o

Get locking nuts and he fixes them on for me, and away he goes after a discussion over who had been near my car and not tightened the nuts up correctly.

I finally get to where I was ment to be,or about 2 hours late.

Not yet done any flying except for rubbins bin, and sweeping the floor.

    Hugs all round

I feel REALLY bad for moaning about FIL earlier. He phoned up and offered to pay off our overdraft! £300! And as if that wasn't enough MIL phoned up a few minutes later to ask how much debt we are (she was really shocked) and said she would give us £5000! :A

I can't believe how generous they are and we both feel really bad about taking it, and said that we didn't want them to worry about us and that our debt is our problem, but they insisted and wouldn't accept no, so eventually we had to give in gracefully. To be honest, it couldn't come at a better time as DH has to get car insurance for his truck and it's a whopping amount. We are going to use the money to pay one CC off completely, and put the other grand on to a card that gives us cashback, and then buy the insurance with that card, instead of just using the money to buy the insurance! That way we should get at least an extra tenner out of it!

Sorry there is no flying in this post, but I'm too over the moon, and still feel bad to be taking so much money off an oap! It's an odd mix of emotions!

Kazwookie That happened to my BIL driving down the motorway and he heard a bang the car moved/dropped and he seen one of his tyres rolling down the road in front of him, scarey. Glad you got it fixed and your OK.
rant.gifWhy is it men (sorry oddjob and phil) never notice anything. I have felt rotten today and yet I managed all my dailies, S/S the kitchen, done the bathroom, tidied the livingroom and hoovered the full house. Was sitting with a cuppa on the floor in the livingroom and my study books spread out round about me and OH says is that all you have done today. rant.gif

Never mind Soappie, you are such a positive person that you will make a success of any plan B that you decide on - *****Plan B a big success*****vibes on their way anyway... :A

I'll hold that thought Fly-Flo - that I am a positive person - In fact I might write it out 100 times just to imprint it on my brain - thank you.

Kazw - what a fright - calming vibes coming your way ! Do you think someone's tried to steal the wheel and failed because of the anti locking nut? Happened to a colleague of mine after christmas. All four wheels were in a parlous state before he realised what the knocking noise was.... he reckons they were tampered with at work (v. unlikely as it was a really secure site full of high level cleared people) but I reckon they were tampered with when it was parked up outside his home and they were frozen on for the drive in - they'd only thawed by the time he started to drive home. Hope your nerves settle soon. I bet you'll be checking them every morning now before you leave home.
