How much is the average spent on food?

Hi everyone - I'm new here and have just spent a good couple of hours reading the advice on this board.
I was just wondering what the average monthly food bill is for single people?
I think I do quite well although I am very fussy and everything has to be home made for me which I feel pushes meal prices up a bit.
Really Im just guessing if I'm doing ok or really over spending on food.
