I Am single...I had not thought it was orientated towards one 'type' of family unit.
So I would say everything!!!
I cook for more than one and freeze prtions, I use a breadmaker and freeze slices of bread in pairs.
i look at ways that I can reduce spending...so vinegar and bicarb threads are interesting.
I would suggest looking in on a regular basis and see what is of particular interest to you. Perhaps the knitting/crochet/ sewing threads are aimed at those who do...but then so are the hen keeping threads! Its a very varied board.... squeaky will be along shortly with a few pointers aimed at the singleton !!!!0 -
I use quite a few of the ideas. For example, some of the comments on here inspired me to go out and buy a slow cooker yesterday. It's a two-person cooker rather than the big pot everyone else seems to use but I'm really looking forward to coming home to a ready-cooked meal when I'm tired, hungry and can't be bothered to cook. I think it's a brilliant idea for those of us that don't have anyone else about to cook for us :-)0

Everything.
You don't have to use it all though, just pick the bits that suit you.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. If you think a recipe is going to make too much, portion it out and freeze for later or just adjust the ingrdients to suit you.
Everything on this board can be used for families, couples and singles!!
Go browse and enjoy!0 -
Have to say, just about everything is useful here, You can find quantities, cooking instructions, storage instructions...
And if anything puzzles you, ask and someone somewhere will know the answer! Or Squeaky will find it
BTW, Don't try asking me or Nelski any sensible questions, we are the clueless ones in these parts, but we are very knowledgable about booze and party nibbles if you ever need any help with that sort of stuffMy first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead

The challenges I'm sure you could do. I have a PIN pot although I don't actually have a target each target, as the spending varies from me and mum each day let along month!! I just save up that cash as either emergency money or for when I decide what I want to spend it on.
