i think ive got a couple of first editions. looking at the bit where the dates are there is only one date so im guessing that means its a 1st.

ive listed them all now, the postage varies on each of them (ive finally bought some scales) with £1 on top toward packaging which i think is fair.

Generally 1st editions have to be in mint condition for that to come into it. Also, even if it is a first edition that doesn't necessarily mean that it has extra worth.

I had a copy of a book that was on the Booker Prize shortlist this year, it was a hardback in mint condition and signed by the author. It sold for £3.50!

That's good! I sold a brand new book signed by Nick Hornby and it went for 99p! Surely he has more than one fan?! :D

There is a joke that does the rounds of the Terry Pratchett web lists that an unsigned copy is actually rarer than a signed copy as he will never refuse a fan who wants him to sign a book. Maybe it is the same for Nick Hornby. :rotfl:
