Mortgage Protection Nightmare!!

Hi there
Hope this sorts out very soon.
Normally the Job centre gives out booklets to complete, this is to show them you have been actively seeking work, such as what employers you have applied to, such as "sent CV to so and so company"
What else you've been doing to search, like "internet jobsearch/Wortrain and or Job Centre plus etc.
Ask for these at the next visit to the job centre if they have not provided them.
When signing they normally take a look then sign the booklet.
You can get these photocopied for the insurance company.
I'm sure it will soon be sorted out, good luck.;)
Thanks for the advise, i will make sure he asks for one of these booklets the next time he goes to the Jobcentre.0 -

Not a problem good luck, if its something your not used to, your not to know.;)
It was manufacturing my husband done before being a steel worker for approx 9 years, it was so shocking, even though it was in DEC 2007 they closed the doors without notice, they are still waiting for pay and compensation now.
He did manage to find jobs but only on contract based, now not working again since DEC 2008, I do not work and care full time for my son with special needs, and of course with mortgage ties etc, it can be very stressful.
The Job centre also messed up with hubby's claim when he first signed with them, and we waited for over 8 weeks before they paid out, Christmas 2007 as you can imagine was very grim, yet we tried our best with our son.
Jobs are very difficult now at this time, my hubby is also going around companies, also leaving them with CV's in case anything did come up, but still not successful.
Fingers crossed for your hubby, I know its not nice being in this situation XThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Sorry to hear this again, it was a Steel works where my hubby lost his job, it went into administration so suddenly without notice, just days before Xmas in 2007......
400 of them thrown onto the scap heap, something we will never forget.
Your hubby could let them know the companies he went to asking for jobs, this is something they also expect them to do, hope this helps. X
Thanks again, I think the hardest thing for OH is coming to terms with working for 19 years and then being treated as though he's lazy and just wants to bum around, when he is trying his best to keep our families head above water! but i think these insurance companies dont understand that we are in ressession.0 -

I know what you mean hun, its not nice is it, and they make you feel like your begging, no-one wants to claim from them, but its the only way to survive.
I have nothing against the ins companies, but it keeps them in a job and its what we pay out for every month. XThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Wow you have so much in common with me, my son is 14 and has aspergers syndrome, anxiety disorders and also home educated, his issues are rather complexed.
Good luck hun.
I am to get my health issues sorted out and considering returning to employment myself, once the GP is happy, that is what I will be doing. I used to work for the NHS, on the caring side of things, for the mentally and physical handicapped;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

I have sent you a private message.:D
Awe bless him, my son was in mainstream, but things did not work out for him, although he was in a special needs unit within the school, its a long story really, but now with home ed, he is doing a great deal better and more settled.
And of course many kids with these needs, cannot take to changes very well can they?
Yes your right, life can be a big challenge.
I also have 2 boys, no girls lol.
You too take care and hope the insurance pays out very soon, they should also backdate as well.
Fingers crossed all round.:AXXThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0
