Recommendations for Accommodation in Cheltenham

I couldn't find a room rate either - if you put in your dates it comes with a price for that date. I put in 14 June to test it, and it came up with £136.00 (20% off). Maybe if you play around with the dates a bit, it might come up a bit lower - probably not a huge amount though.0

I've just found it here on Laterooms and the rooms for this weekend are coming up between £70-£89, although the normal room rate is £155.
Further in advance (June/July) rooms are listed as standard rate - they only seem to start coming down about 2 weeks before the stay.

Gosh yes, I see what you mean - not sure how many rooms this place has but would want to book just one double room for a Friday in June. Had not heard of Late Rooms before, and we had not thought about leaving it so late to book. It really does seem to pay hefty dividends to do so though.
Anyone got any ideas as to further hotels or guest houses (nice places please) in the Montpellier region of Cheltenham?0 -
Would give the Queen's a miss if I were you, even if you get a good room rate, the extras are expensive, some friends stayed there when visiting for the racing and said they wouldn't stay again - but then everyone's got different ideas, I suppose.
How about this one, http://www.a1tourism.com/uk/montpellier.html, The Montpellier Hotel, another Regency Terrace house but in a good position, close to the Prom etc. Montpellier Wine Bar, the Rotunda pub, O'neill's pub and several restaurants all on the doorstop but not close enough to keep you awake at night, and it's within easy walking distance of the Prom. Only problem I can see is with the parking again., but I'm sure they would sort you out.coffeebean0 -
There is of course the Premier Travel Inn Cheltenham Central. £51/53 per room per night. It's about 10 mins walk from the Station, and about 20 mins walk to the town centre but there are regular buses from the main road outside the hotel. Full english and continental buffet breakfast is £6.95 extra and is served within the adjacent TGI Fridays (it was strange having breakfast there but fine none the less!). https://www.premiertravelinn.com0
