I tend to sell any such vouchers on E bay. E-Bay is not without its risks though, depends on how much money you are talking about. To be fair, I've sold vouchers 6-7 times on E bay and never had a problem, admittedly value was low 6 up to 40 pounds

Interesting, they must use store discretion, and from a financial point of view, it is a poor decision. The difficulty with giving a different means of exchange on refunds is that it messes up the accounting system. I doubt your store gets good audit reports! ;)

I have a particularly honest and handsome face.

Personally I would prefer a refund to be made in the same way, for my own accounting purposes.
Remember the time he ate my goldfish? And you lied and said I never had goldfish. Then why did I have the bowl Bart? Why did I have the bowl?

I work in retail and if it was my work there is no way you would get cash back. Our policy is that the money goes back on to the original payment method and if there is no receipt then you would get a refund card.

Sainburys, Morrisons, Tesco, Asda, Co-op and M&S have all refunded me cash for card transactions. I'd rather they refunded it back to my card because I don't use cash but it seems to be standard.
  • Pets At Home refunded me cash when I'd paid by card.

If you pay by card in Tesco and then claim a refund under their overcharge policy they always give you the money back in cash.

You could do what other people do-just stand behind someone else who is about to pay cash and see if they would swop the cash for vouchers-personally I wouldn't but..

Fess up as to which shops vouchers you have.
