mini Cash ISA questions

Hi,

1) Do first direct charge for transferring out of their ISA?

2) If im going to transfer just over £3,000 from FD to another provider should i take Halifax's 5% if i dont plan on changing it for a while (therefore making the A&L one less appealing)

Thanks for any advice given!

    1) No

    2) Both Halifax ISA Saver Direct and A&L Direct ISA have variable interest rate. Halifax can drop rate too. At the moment Halifax offer also 5% fixed rate ISAs for one, two, three, or four years.

    Thanks for your reply.

Would going for a halifax 5% fixed 1 year ISA be a safe move do you think? Then i can add another 3k after 6th april and assess the market in a years time?
