I'm now replacing them with Zen's.

Get an I-River. Had mine since last May and no problems. You can just drag and drop files across with an I-River - it acts like an external drive. No extra software needed to get the songs onto the player. Mine is a 40gig H340 model and has radio, photo display, recording facility (internal off radio and external) and god knows what else.

    I'm sticking with my lovely never-gone-wrong-no-extra-software-needed I-River.

I want a Creative Zen Vision:M! I've got a 30Gb Creative Zen Xtra, had it for 2 years and only cost 180 pounds back then.. Sad thing is, it's full, so there's no point me upgrading to a 30 gig video player if i can't put anything else on it. I hope there's 60gb version coming sometime this year

An old Ipod for 70 pounds? I'd leave it, the battery won't last more than a year and is a pain to replace on the old models

How the hell do you fill 30Gb??????????
Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.

I aren't bragging but my mp3s of every CD I own total over 100GB ... encoded at 160kbs ... I just don't mention that some of my more 'interesting' (ie crap) purchases are all in there hehe

So I have to be a bit selective with my 40GB player.

Hmmm. Sounds like a little bit of boasting :) So I'll join in, with my 760GB :) My 10GB iPod will just be refilled at random every now and then. i can't afford to buy another 760 shuffles :)

Edit - my iPod has just shipped, so cheers again OP :)

Managed to get one of these 10gb Ipods, ordered yesterday lunchtime, arrived this morning at 8.20, with it being free p+p that is great service.

It seems brand new with all seals together with new headphones, power supply, software cd and 2x cables . . . .
seems like a bargain, lets hope i don't have to use the warranty

Mine was delivered this morning, only ordered yesterday morning and shipped from the Netherlands. It arrived in Hull at 3.35am, and turned up at my door at 9.15am - in the North West!

Now that's what I call expedient, and shows how some British based companies could do far better in terms of delivery lead time.

    Thanks OP

You can use an iPod without iTunes, or the need for installing anything on your computer. Portable Winamp with the ml_ipod plugin, just run it right off your iPod. Not quite drag n drop like with an iRiver, but one step closer, and it makes the iPod truly portable.
