Broadband with BT Line Rental

It really ticks me off that every month I pay BT over £12 for line rental when all I use the line for is broadband.

Is there anyway I can reduce or get rid of the rental fee and still have hard wired broadband at home? I've looked a Virgin Media but the reviews of their broadband service are pretty damning.

Thanks.

You could go for a bundled package and pay your ISP for both your broadband and line rental.
For the cost of the basic line rental with BT you could make most weekend and evening calls for free so why not make use of it?
That gum you like is coming back in style.
