health and car insurance

Hi,

Am looking for advice. Just taken out my car insurance and was asked if i had any health problems. I said yes but do not need to tell dvla about them, and the bloke said that was ok. Then i phoned up today to ask a question about my policy and spoke to a different man. When he asked about my health i said i didn't need to tell dvla, but he said that the insurers still needed to know. Why is this Do they put the price up for those of us unfortunate enough to have chronic health problems. He needed to know problem, when it was diagnoised and what treatment i am on. What i am concerned about is should i tell them about chronic fatigue, for which i have never had a formal diagnosis nor receive treatment for. It has no effect on my driving as i am sensible and don't drive if i'm tired. This is the first time my car insurance has wanted details of my health even though i do not have to inform dvla, (it is with a different company then last year). I'm not planning on making a claim, but if i do, and don't disclose this informal health problem, will may insurance be invalid???

Any advice gratefully received.

The simple answer , as you say at the bottom , is that. Yes, if you are not completely upfront, you run the risk of not being insured if you are involved in an accident.
