I am not entirely sure this is the right place for this in the forum (can a mod please move it if it is)
I am currently abroad and wish to cancel my creditexpert membership. I have asked them for a direct line number and just get an automated reply with an 0800 number. The problem is you cannot dial 0800/ 0845/ 0808 / 0870 numbers from Canada.
Does anyone know how i can contact them? I have tried the customer services email but that jut picks up on the keywords 'cancellation' and send me an automated reply :rolleyes: I have sent another email with complaint in the title and it says i should hear from them withing 2 days.
Any help on a phone number appreciated.

thanks for that information, their service is somewhat lacking so at least we have a name and contact person to direct our complaints, the normal email service is rubbish, they give you a reference number and then you don't hear from them again :rolleyes:0 -

Same here I sent them an e-mail on Wednesday moaning about some defaults and all I got was a reply message saying we will reply within 2 working days. :mad:
IMO Equifax are far more efficient.0 -

You subscribe to them separately. They are separate organisations.

As I said in my original post. You cannot dial 0800 numbers from Canada!!!Innocent_Guy wrote: »customerservice@creditexpert.co.uk

And as others have said the customer service email is absolutely useless if you want anything but an automated reply. I am sure that they never get seen by a real person just a computer searching for keywords that sends a standard useless message. This is a summary of the message I received when I asked for a non 0800 number:
"We're sorry that you are thinking of leaving us. What you should know first: .................blah........blah....etc.....etc....If you are still thinking of leaving us, please call us free on 0800 656 9000"
Very helpful :mad::mad:
Thanks Never-in-doubt for the information . Its looks like it might help me get somewhere. I will give that number a try Monday morning.
I did find this on the Experian website during my hunt.
h**p://w*w.experian.co.uk/www/pages/home/contact_us_main.html
Please replace the '**' with the correct letters. I cannot post direct links as I am a new user :rolleyes:
It gives a landline for Experian and the 0800 for credit expert. I presume I could get one to put me through to the other. It is part of the same company after all. I will let you know how i get on. The number is:
"For business or any other enquiries:
Tel: 44 (0) 115 941 0888"0 -
