ikea familymobile - a good deal?

Options
I've just come across IKEA's 'familyphone' network. Basic, bog-standard, no frills. 9p/min calls , 6p/min text. that's it . Apparently they send out a free SIM with £5 free credit. http://www.familymobile.co.uk/freecredit

Anyone use them?

I'm finding the concept (and price) very attractive :D

Opinions?

I have the IKEA sim in my spare phone that I use in an area that vodaphone gives poor coverage in. IKEA use the Tmobile network so you need to ask around and ensure that you are in a good coverage area. As it is a second phone it only gets light usage, but as a PAYG I am very happy with the service. After joining you get given a web page wher you can check your usage and ater a few things like international roming. I also liked the fact that you can select your phone number rather than just get given one.
  • I have just applied for one. Hopefully recieve soon!!!

ASDA Mobile (who piggyback on Vodafone) is the same no frills approach, but is cheaper.

8p per minute calls, 4p texts and 20p per MB WAP/Mobile Internet (including 3G).

So unless you have no Vodafone coverage where you are, I can't see the point of paying more for Ikea Familymobile.

I did forum search using the terms "familymobile" and "ikea family mobile" but nothing specific came up.

p.s. Lycamobile is very good if you both have phones as texts and calls are free bewteen Lyca customers - I also can phone quite a few international landlines for 4p a min from my lyca mobile sim
