Use the CSA from the beginning, stop being a soft touch. And get the lot. Some people

Yeah great idea. Have you actually read any of the threads on here from both PWC's and NRP's ?

The " get the lot " comment speaks volumes.

That's £146 per month per child? Sounds fair to me, kids are expensive to keep.

So he thinks it costs only £60 per month to keep each of his children i.e £15 per week..? He needs to think again.

Thats what my ex pays me. £60 every two weeks for 2 kids. £15 a week per child. After a little tiff he refused to pay me so I went to the CSA to do it that way and they are going to acess him. I'm not sure if they will make him pay more or the same as he was paying me.

    Hey Kimberley :hello:

It depends on what he earns, or at least what he says he earns - mine also pays £15 per week for each child (I too have two!!) and the girls' dad has declared a take home of approx £9500 per annum (I can't remember the exact figure).

On CSA2, for 2 children it should be 20% of net income less any responsibilities he has to other children.

Do they not have to send them three months of their wages though to prove it otherwise they can say they earn anything?

Yes, I think they have to send in payslips, if he's in normal PAYE employment then you are probably ok :)

Well I think you should go through the CSA and take the money that your children are entitled to. You said yourself he makes out he is skint and never spends any money on them when he has them.
Put the money away for your childrens future if you feel feel bad taking it.
You might agree a lower amount with your ex, but it will be 'upto him' if he pays you and if you go through the CSA they will collect the money for you.
My ex wouldn't agree to £50 a week for my 2, he wanted to go through the CSA, so we did and I get double, he used to go out drinking at the weekend now he has less money he stays in every saturday and has the kids over, its worked out well all round really.
    £100 - £10,000
