Ok Marty the prices that i quoted before were without VAT i think there was a blink on the site because the basket didnt include the VAT.

Anyhow apple are doing a printer reabate thing too until the end of april.Ive got the same printer already but im going to get it for the £9 or so extra then sell it.


Laptop + Printer + Uplift (160Gb model)
=£751.90
- 60.00 rebate
- 40.00 selling printer
= 651.90



and without uplift its:
Laptop + Printer + Uplift (160Gb model)
=£705.009
- 60.00 rebate
- 40.00 selling printer
= £605.90


Yeah I know what you mean about recouping the cost but realistically if i sold in the 2nd year i would have used 2 out of the 3 years myself eg £31 of the £47 myself and the remaining £16 will probably be recouped in the sale price.


Im not planning to travel and i f i was with work I would expect them to provide me with a laptop and insurance etc - So for me the only think I would realistically use is the shipping but as im so close to the apple store I probably would just pop in after work to ask questions if needed face to face.

Well it sounds as though you've reached your decision then.

Just please please please make sure you have it insured. There was a thread on here recently about someone having their MacBook stolen, and I can imagine it's not a very nice thing to happen.

I remeber a guy at unis latop robbed the first day we moved into halls- He hadnt even set up the computer everything was in its box and no insurance whats so ever! Since then Ive always made sure I have some. As he was totally gutted as you can imagine .
