have you found a property then?
or had meeting with FA?
Just seems really confusin no-one seems to know much!0 -
I have just phoned the funding people for the South West... Swaythling Housing ??
They have said that as far as they are aware they still have funding and they would be the first to know although they would not be told about other areas so I suggest everyone contacts their local funding people and finds out what its like in your area before you give up!!
Although April2009 I would recommend if you can move it forward, do so!!

Just thought i'd let you know, if anyone is with Thames Valley Housing then the funding definitely hasnt run out, but they are putting all applications on hold that they havent received property details for.
Once they have allocated the applcations that they have received property details for then they will start looking at other applications received and will prioritise applicants in date order. They have said that if you havent submitted your property, then to not do so until they write again and give the go ahead.
But never take any info on here as gospel!! Keep in contact with your housing association and your FA, as there seems to be lots of different stories flying about!!
The info i've given above came from Thames Valley Housing verbally and also a letter which was received from them today.Offer accepted on new home - 23/04/09

Have you already found a property? Maybe I should keep going. I am sure that some of the people that have applied will not be accepted for mortgages.
Does anyone have any idea when and if funding will become avaliable?
is next year the last year for the my choice home buy scheme?
It seems everything i read is negative about the scheme0 -
I heard it could be September0

I'm glad they seem to know exactly what they're doing!
Have you had any more luck with Catalyst - we have been told to still submit property details and we will be put on a reserve list!
Think its abit bad though that you have to make an offer on a property that you are almost certain not going to be able to proceed with as I cant see funding being avaliable that quickly!
But apparently you have to make an offer to be able to be onto the reserve list???0 -
Just a word of warning.... if you do submit property details then make sure you keep about 20 copies of each peice of paper you send them. They received our property details for approval 29th April and have lost it somehow!!!
They arent very helpful either... lots of promises to call me back and keep me updated and nothing!! And when my partner called them to find out what was happening they basically told him not to call as he was wasting their time and told him that he was insulting them by him saying that they werent doing their job properly!!!!
Now they wont even admit to us that they cant find our paperwork!!!!
Oh the joys!!!!!Offer accepted on new home - 23/04/09

i feel bad that we have to put an offer on a property that we probably wont even get, it just seems so much hassle.
We have a meeting with our FA tomo so might see what he says.0
