glass house extensions, can anyone reccomend a company or has had one built.

my uncle was quoted 76k! by a national company. he told em to pi ss off.
did it himself for 15k. it looks fantastic.

Ok that is very helpful so I'll know to stay well clear of them! I can't believe how expensive these glass extensions are! Are there really no other companies out there except Glasspace who do glass extensions at decent prices??

i'm back to say how wrong i was, glassbox.co.uk, or glassbox prefab as they were recently have once again done the dirty on me, i've posted on several forums how the promises have come to nothing. please do not do what i did and spend your hard earned cash with them, jokers and con merchants, crap job, crap service... and it seems the new comapny is on its knees.... honestly you dont want the stress in your life...

Do a search for residential structural glass on Google you will find some experienced companies come up in the results.

Following on from this has anyone got any further advice/contacts Re: glass suppliers - as noted by other threaders the quotes given by profession companies are astronomical! I too am loooking to build a very minimal glass box extension. Any help welcome!

only advice i would give is keep away from zig chowdry, in whatever guise he transforms himself into hes still into ripping inccocent people off. i'm sure hes at another company already

hi all, if anyone is still looking I came across a company called glassrooms.com which have completed a job in the next street to me. The house owner told me they were much cheaper and quicker than other companies...and nothing to do with zig chowdry!! may be worth a look
