I think it is important to point out that the idea behind this is to risk the minimum for the maximum reward. (ie there are much better S&S ISA providers out there - this is a short term risk for a year rather than longer financial planning)

The increase in capital is second to the main reward which is the cashback.

Look at a H&L S&S ISA for proper investing, here it's just a flutter at the races

    Can answer these two anyway,

    - No, you can only have one S&S ISA per tax year
    - No

Where does it say about no two S&S ISA in the same tax year?

I believe you can take out a Cash ISA and S&S ISA in the same year, can't you?

    It says here http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/ISA/faqs.htm#8

But yes you can take out a cash ISA and an S&S ISA with different ISA managers in the same tax year. There is an overall limit you can put in of £7200 (of which up to £3600 can be in the Cash ISA component)

Ive had mine, which has made quite a substantial loss, over the last year -and I did fill with the full 7k but then again its a stock market tracker so what do I expect  in fairness it has recovered somewhat but IM about 1.5k down. However, im reinvesting my units, so that is also part of it.

I got the quidco CB in 07-08, no problem.

For those with outstanding Quidco payments, quidco are paying from 07 at the moment what has never been agreed by the merchant- keep a look out- Ive had about 100 quid from outstanding tickets that Id totally forgot about over the last 2 months- nice ;)

Is there a thread about Quidco and/or topcashback??

I've just learned about these two cashback possibilities and have a couple of things I'd like to buy through them but am concerned about whether they do give cashback or not and would like to read some MSE comments.

Just one point on Broad band, I note that quidco say 40 quid cash back but when I follow the links I see only 14 quid. I contacted quidco and they conformed the 40 quid but I'm doubtful and wonder what the exact situation is.
No reliance should be placed on the above.

They both definitely give the cashback, but the cashback is not guaranteed to be paid by the provider, so make sure it's a product you actually want before you dive in to claim your cash.

    - have you used different cashback sites in subsequent years with no problems?
    - if you open this one, can you still invest in other S&S ISA's in the same tax year upto your maximum for the year?
    Yes
My understanding is (at least for cash isas) you can only pay new money into one isa per tax year - however there is no limit to the number of isa transfers you can do in a year so you could open another isa after taking advantage of the cashback but all the funds you wanted to deposit this year woudl have to go via L&G which obviously means extra buy/sell spread so may well not be worthwhile.

Having said that not sure if you are just after a footsie tracker how well the L&G one compares to the competitiors?
    I think....

My cashback with Wepromiseto has reversed, I am guessing because I cancelled my DD after the fourth payment. Wasn't sure I wanted to pay into the same fund for the new financial year, but I haven't attempted to close the ISA or to withdraw any money.

I have raised a ticket and contacted L&G directly by e-mail but they won't be drawn. If they don't pay out I am considering writing to customer services as I am a genuine new customer, who decided to try out S&S ISA on the back of the cashback. I wouldn't be so bothered if it hadn't tracked, but they have had my money for five months now.
