my wife an I are both on virgin pay as you go , it is the only provider that works at our house and where I work, although it is not good reception beyond our area, her mum is on o2 pay as you go 17 miles away but it costs 50 p a minute to call her,( she would like to ring her more often) any way round this ?

    Virgin uses the t-mobile network, so you should be able to use this, and if you look on the free sim link.t-mobile are giving away free sims.

  • Fresh from the car-phone warehouse and also Easy Mobile(now available from the Link) use T-Mobile which will give you the same signal as you do on your Virgin sim. You will be able to call your mother in-law for 15p a minute, along with any network anytime for 15p a minute as well. Texts are 5p a minute too, so probably cheaper than virgin.

    If you don't have a landline, you can call mobiles via 0871 callthrough numbers, which Virgin charge at 15p per minute
