Cleaning SPV C550

Okay.. Bought a C550 From the Orange Shop online for £99.99! Very impressed.
How ever it has accumlated pocket lint/dust under the screen.
Now this is the point I find very annoying.
You must unscrew it to clean it! How ever, opening it voids the warranty!
I'm stuck in a situation I cannot get my self out of.
I open it, I lose my warranty. I don't open it and I get an unreadable screen (Over time anyway).
So what do I do? The Orange shop say I must send it back to them. Can I not get them to open it in the shop OR get them to take it off me?
Please help me. What ever decision I take leaves me at loss!
Is there any legal talk I can fight them with?

apparently someone on modaco.com (forums) managed to open it up w/o mucking up the warranty....have a look there! good luck.0
