Upgrading from T-Mobile's U-Fix 15 - would I get a discount?

Sorted my parents' mobiles out, then my mate's and now its my turn 
I'm currently near the end of my U-Fix contract and I will be able to upgrade in a few days. I'm thinking of going with Flext.
They are probably not gonna think of me much as a valuable customer - especially as I only went with U-Fix 15(!).
1) Outta interest, has anyone in a similar situation (i.e. with a low cost tariff) gotten a discount off their upgrades?
2) Now, this is a asking for a bit much from T-Mob but were you able to negotiate a retention tariff with them?
