I was in the army and I am now in the T.A. but I really don't know where I stand on this so I may well just hand my kit in then no one will be none the wiser, I do know when I was talking to an officer from the legal corps in Bosnia (2001) about debt problems and bankruptcy he mentioned that I would not be allowed to stay in the army should I go bankrupt.
If anyone knows (before I hand my kit in) the exact ins and outs of this then that would be most helpful.
Ask. You can phone and make a call on the QT and ask them outright. I don't think that it is as big a problem as is first thought.0 -

Hi Damn It
This quote comes from army recruitment office:
“IF ALL COURT PROCEEDINGS IN THE BANKRUPTCY HAVE BEEN FINALISED AND THE RECRUIT HAS A BANK ACCOUNT THAT ACCEPTS SALARY PAYMENTS THEN THE APPLICANT CAN PROCEED TO APPLY FOR THE ARMED FORCES”
So if it doesnt affect you joining then shouldnt affect you once you're in!!0 -

I'm not sure of the relevance as to whether or not I can use a telephone to speak to people though... It seems ironic that the lower the position I apply for the longer the application process - This one in particular paid just over £7 an hour and had 17 pages of application! If I apply for a CEO or MD job I simply send a CV...
Then I'd apply for the CEO job - its bound to be much easier to do as well.:D Can you sit behind a desk? Go for it!

Sitting behind a desk is what I'm best at!
I have an interview to work at the Job Centre tomorrow - Now that should be fun!“I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours.”

Good Luck with your interview, if you get the job, you can help the rest of us find one :rotfl:BSC No: 2450 -
Thanks! I've a sneaky suspicion I may be a little too outgoing and proactive for them, but we'll see...
I had numeracy and literacy assessments for the role today and was shocked and stunned at the number of people there who failed!“I contend that we are both atheists.
